First meeting of the Pasteur Network Strategic Advisory Board
On April 17-18, 2024, the Pasteur Network Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) had its first meeting in Paris, France.
The SAB provides high-level guidance and recommendations to the Pasteur Network Board on strategic issues such as partnerships, network-wide projects, and funder relations. The SAB will also support the Network through specific communication and advocacy actions towards key international stakeholders.
The SAB is composed of ten members with wide-raging impact and influence across science, innovation, and R&D within the global public and private sector.
During this first two-day meeting, the SAB developed a shared understanding of the Pasteur Network and its members and had fruitful discussions on the Pasteur Network’s strategic pillars and its strategy.

- Michèle Boccoz, Former French Ambassador to multiple countries (recently Philippines), Former VP of Agency for Preventive Medicine (Europe)

- Gabriel Leung, Executive Director, Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, (Asia)

- Jean-Marie Okwo Bele, Public Health Consultant, Former Director of IVB at WHO (Africa)

The next meeting of the SAB is tentatively expected to take place during the Pasteur Network Annual Meeting 2024, to be held in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on 21-22 October 2024.
