Pasteur Network Associate Membership
Pasteur Network Membership Categories
The Pasteur Network includes two categories of membership: Active Members and Associate Members.
Each category has distinct roles and privileges.
The key difference lies in the level of involvement and decision-making power.
Active Members
Active Members are fully integrated into the network, participating in governance and holding voting rights. They vote in the General Assembly, elect the Board of Directors, and help shape the strategic direction of the network.
Associate Members
Associate Members are valued partners who support the network’s mission and collaborate with Active Members on research and other initiatives. However, they do not have voting rights or governance roles.
To ensure a global and credible representation, applications for Associate Membership must be sponsored by three Active Members from at least two different regions. These sponsors formally endorse the applicant’s alignment with the network’s mission, reach, and values.
The total number of Associate Members may not exceed one-third of the number of Active Members.
Requirements for Associate Membership
To become an Associate Member, institutions must:
- Be sponsored by three Active Members from at least two regions
- Pay a fixed entry fee and an annual membership fee (due January 1st each year), as set by the Board
- Sign the Pasteur Network Charter, confirming alignment with its mission and values
- Sign an operational agreement outlining collaboration terms
- Actively engage in the network by:
- Participating in the Pasteur Network Annual Meeting
- Joining scientific collaborations and seminars
- Contributing to working groups and training programs
- Sharing resources and best practices
- Adhere to the network’s ethical and governance standards, including avoiding any conflict of interest
- Provide a logo for use in Pasteur Network communications (in line with branding guidelines)
