IPSN and Pasteur Network: A Partnership for Stronger Infectious Disease Surveillance

06 March 2025  |  Pasteur Network

The International Pathogen Surveillance Network (IPSN) and the Pasteur Network are coming together to strengthen global preparedness and response to infectious diseases. Through collaboration, capacity building, and data sharing, this partnership will help research institutions worldwide monitor, detect, and respond to emerging health threats more effectively.

The Pasteur Network will contribute its expertise in microbiology, epidemiology, and public health, while IPSN, supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), provides a framework for pathogen genomic surveillance and data-driven decision-making. By working together, we can better ensure equitable access to knowledge, tools, and technologies that empower local and global responses to infectious disease challenges.

This partnership will work to reinforce laboratory networks, harmonize data-sharing frameworks, and promote scientific innovation to address current and future health threats. Collaboration will be key to building a more resilient global health system, ensuring that expertise and resources are mobilized where they are needed most.

By joining forces, IPSN and the Pasteur Network will contribute to global health security, scientific progress, and equitable partnerships in the fight against infectious diseases.
