Call for Applications: Integrated Arbovirus Management International Course

24 June 2026

Applications are now open for the Integrated Arbovirus Management International Course, a five-day, in-person training designed to strengthen how professionals prevent, detect, and respond to arboviral diseases such as dengue, Zika, and chikungunya.

The course will take place from 7–11 December 2026 at Les Pensières, Annecy, France, and is organized by the Mérieux Foundation, Fiocruz, and the Pasteur Network.

The programme brings together epidemiology, clinical care, vector control, surveillance, vaccines, policy, and community engagement into one practical framework. Participants will explore the biology and ecology of arboviruses, clinical case management in primary care, new vector control tools such as Wolbachia and the sterile insect technique, current dengue vaccine strategies, emergency preparedness, and intersectoral coordination.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to design, implement, and evaluate integrated arbovirus management strategies adapted to different health systems.

The course is intended for public health professionals, clinicians, epidemiologists, vector control specialists, and policymakers, including Ministry of Health teams, researchers, Pasteur Network and NIH members, WHO Technical Advisory Group members, and private sector organizations working in public health and vector control.
