African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM)

The African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM) and its consortium partners have been awarded a Fleming Fund Grant for the Qualifying the Workforce for AMR Surveillance in Africa & Asia (QWArS) project. The consortium will focus on the provision of activities to improve the quality of laboratory bacteriology diagnostics for AMR through the development and delivery of training/mentorships addressing quality management systems and the path to ISO15189 and ISO17025 accreditation in human and animal health laboratories.

The ASLM entered into an agreement with Mott MacDonald, acting on behalf of the UK Secretary of State for Health Services, on 6, April 2020. The Pasteur Network is involved in this project supported by the Fleming Fund Grant Program.
